Apache CASSANDRA¶

Apache Cassandra is an open source distributed NoSQL database management system designed to handle large amounts of data across many commodity servers, providing high availability with no single point of failure. It is a type of NoSQL database that provides a mechanism for storage and retrieval of data that is modeled in means other than the tabular relations used in relational databases. Cassandra offers robust support for clusters spanning multiple datacenters, with asynchronous masterless replication allowing low latency operations for all clients. It is scalable, fault-tolerant, and consistent.

Software Components¶

Table 1 lists the necessary software components. The descending row order represents the install sequence. The recommended component version and download location are also provided.

JDK11 means use openjdk11 and Cassandra 4.1.0.

JDK14 means use openjdk14 and Cassandra 4.0.6.
